I hope you're enjoying the Halloween 2025 season!

Here's a spooky picture I took of this year's Hunter's Moon.


As is customary, I pretty much ignored my blog right up until September, but I've been posting there again. I will most certainly abandon it again after Christmas, but now's a good time to see what I've been writing about, if that's your thing!

This is a side channel I have just for posting old stuff I pull off of VHS tapes. I know lots of people do this sort of thing, but you should check it out! I'd say it has a Canadian slant, which sets it apart. You might find something you completely forgot existed and spark a nostalgic endorphin rush! Or maybe something cool and retro, but new to you!

For a long time now, I've been wanting to try and tackle an electronic restoration project. I've done some repairs of newish video game systems, but nothing where I actually got into soldering. I saw an ad a while back for a Betamax VCR that wouldn't start up, so I decided I'd try and fix it!

I'll likely write a blog post about it along the way and I've actually been recording clips of the process, so there may even be a video, but I'm hopeful I can get it up-and-running pretty soon. If I do, I have a really cool surprise to share. Stay tuned to my progress on my socials!
